      The print is inscribed McL ad lib (short for ad libitum, Latin meaning "at their pleasure.")



William and Frederick were photographed with their families during a visit to Hubert shortly before his death in 1882. From left to right are ─ Standing: William, Fred, and his father Frederick. Seated in front of them: William's wife Frances, Lillian, Georgina, Reginald, Hubert, Frederick's second wife Elizabeth, Stanley, and Percy.  Seated on the groundsheet, Millicent in a sailor suit, and Sophia. (Sailor suits were worn by both boys and girls, including Queen Victoria's daughters.)
