Wedding Portrait By The Photographer Royal

Rosemary was married at Burford in 1927 to Charles Wilfrid Hilton-Price. He was commissioned in the Royal Artillery and was seconded to the Intelligence Corps in World War II. He attained the rank of major, and in 1944 was appointed a Deputy Assistant Quartermaster-General.

Charles and Rosemary had two sons, both of whom became army officers.

Charles's grandfather, Frederick G. Hilton Price, was a banker who had notable collections of antiquities which are now in the Egyptian Department of the British Museum and in the Museum of London.

The picture of the wedding pair was taken by Lafayette, Photographer Royal.

Rosemary was one of the first pupils to attend Wooferton Grange, as The Lydiates was called when it became a school for girls. She used to drive there from Burford Rectory in the pony trap in which she is pictured below, sitting with her mother, the lady with the parasol.
